DAY OF SECULARITY
At the Belleville Center
For the Day of Secularity in schools, co-financed by the City of Paris and the national funds, we selected 3 short movies that we showed to 1st, 4th, and 5th-graders at the Belleville elementary school.
The viewing was followed by a discussion on the word "Laïcité" (secularism), as well as various workshops illustrating the theme of the day.
- Cutting and coloring a dove which is a symbol of peace and freedom.
- Origami of a fish.
- Imagining a dialogue between God and a child.
Target audience: Classes of 1st (11 kids) and 4th/5th grade students (54 kids) for a total of 65 students.
